Booking ConditionsTo make a reservationReservations may be made by telephone, by post or by the internet with a deposit of £100 per person or 10% of the total holiday cost (whichever is the greater) together with a completed booking form. Full PaymentWe will invoice you for the balance of the cost, which must be paid at least 6 weeks before departure. This date will be shown on your booking confirmation. For bookings made within 6 weeks of departure, immediate full payment is required. If payment is not received in time, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday arrangements, retain your deposit and apply the cancellation charges set out below. In very exceptional circumstances, we may have to change your holiday arrangements and we reserve the right to do so at any time. However, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible. Please note that some tours require a minimum number of bookings to take place. In the unlikely event of a tour being cancelled due to low numbers, you will be told as soon as possible. If a major change becomes necessary, except where the changes are due to a ‘Force Majeure’ ie Acts of God, war or threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, government action, natural disasters, epidemics or health risks, fire, flood or other adverse weather conditions, or closure of airports, cancellation of flights or similar events beyond our control, you can either accept the changes or cancel your reservation and get a full refund. If we find we have to cancel your holiday after the final balance is due, we will pay you compensation as set out below so long as the cancellation does not come about because of unforeseeable events, beyond our control. More than 42 days before departure Nil Changes made by you to your confirmed bookingIf you want to make any changes to your booking, we will do our utmost to make these changes but in certain circumstances, it may not be possible. Any changes should be confirmed in writing. You will be charged an administration fee per person together with any other charges that we incur having to make the alteration. It may be that travel arrangements cannot be changed and any alteration fee will incur a 100% cancellation charge. Cancellation by you of confirmed bookingIf you want to cancel your booking after you have confirmed your booking or you fail to pay the balance before the 6 weeks before your departure date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit. If either of these occur within the 6 week period, cancellation charges will become payable by you. All cancellations must be made in writing. These charges are assessed at how many days before your departure we receive your cancellation and are worked out as a percentage of your holiday. More than 42 days before departure Loss of deposit Our ToursIt is important that you abide by the authority of the leader, who is a representative of the Company. If the leader thinks that in his reasonable opinion that you are causing distress or danger to others, or have committed an illegal act, we may terminate your travel arrangements without any liability on our part. The very nature of the tours offered by The Unique Travel Company, must allow for some flexibility. Therefore the trip notes of these tours must only be taken as an indication of what could be done and not as a contractual obligation by the Company. Sometimes, due to unforeseen local circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, sickness or political unrest, the itinerary may be subject to alteration without prior notice. Advertised InformationWe have taken every care with the accuracy of this website, however as most of the information has been written some time in advance, some advertised details such as rates, facilities or advertised details may sometimes be cancelled or changed. The star rating of each hotel is taken from their own advertised descriptions. We cannot guarantee that the ratings of each hotel will match the expectations of each individual. Special requests for any aspect of accommodation must be made in advance. InsuranceIt is compulsory that you take out comprehensive travel insurance before departure, for each member of your party. ComplaintsIf you have a complaint about your holiday, you must inform our local agent or the hotel as soon as possible who will endeavour to put things right as soon as possible. If the complaint is not resolved locally, please put it in writing to us within 28 days of your return. Governing Law & JurisdictionThese terms and conditions are subject to English Law and the English Courts shall have sole jurisdiction. Customer ProtectionIn compliance with the UK Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 an insurance policy has been arranged with Travel & General Insurance Company plc to protect customers' prepayments paid in respect of the ground handling aspects of packages where the customer is responsible for arranging travel to the destination offered on this website (subject to the terms of the insurance policy), for: PricesWe do not impose any surcharges on the price of our tours less than 42 days before departure and in the unlikely event that they do become payable, they will be imposed to cover the increases in transportation costs, adverse fluctuations in exchange rates as applied to a particular tour and Government action such as increases in VAT or other Government imposed increases. If the surcharge means that you will be paying more than 15% of the holiday price, you can cancel your holiday with a full refund of all monies paid to us.
