8 Day Highlights of Sri Lanka Tour
This tour is designed for those travellers who have less time but who wish to see the essential Highlights that Sri Lanka has to offer (and perhaps want to spend a number of days afterwards on the beach relaxing).
It has a mixture to cater for everyone including:
- Visiting historical and religious sites
- Looking at the amazing scenery of lush jungle, wide rivers, many waterfalls and thousands of acres of tea plantations
- Fun activities such as elephant riding
- Watching the abundant wildlife most particularly the elephants
Sri Lanka often known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, is a very special Island with a history that is long and varied. It is well known for its beautiful beaches, ancient cities, stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. The people of Sri Lanka are as special as the Island being charming, full of fun and most of all, very welcoming.

Drive to Dambulla. Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. Do a 2hr elephant ride (optional). Overnight at Pelwehera Village Hotel, Dambulla |

Visit the Lion Rock at Sigiriya and the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.Overnight at Pelwehera Village Hotel, Dambulla |

Drive to Kandy. Visit a Spice Garden, Gem Museum and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Overnight at Hotel Thilanka, Kandy |

Drive to Ella stopping at a tea factory and tea plantations. Explore the old colonial town of Nuwara Eliya (Little England). Overnight at The Planter's Bungalow, Ella |

Drive to Tissamaharama. Do a game drive into Yala National Park. Overnight at Priyankara hotel, Tissa |
