Weddings Sri Lanka
We can arrange
your wedding in Sri Lanka, wherever
you want it, whether it's on a beach,
up a mountain, in a little Sri Lankan
village or at a luxurious boutique
hotel. We can arrange for the bride
to have her hair and make-up done
beforehand. We can also arrange
for you to wear a traditional Sri
Lankan wedding dress and jewellery
if you so wish. You can arrive on
an elephant, be accompanied by Sri
Lankan dancers to where you would
have the marriage ceremony, on a
traditional "poruwa" (a
beautifully decorated platform).
Girls will sing blessings while
the marriage ceremony is taking
place. The priest would then tie
the couple's little fingers together,
pour water over the fingers and
bless them. All the while traditional
drummers will be playing in the
background. We can then arrange
for you to have the traditional
Sri Lankan wedding foods.
